Starting with just 40 participants in a 5k, the event has grown into an accredited race with options for a 10km, half marathon, and family fun run, attracting over 750 runners worldwide.
Our race begins at the historic Sainte Marie Among the Hurons site, and the scenic route, community energy, and delicious butter tarts keep participants returning, with spots selling out six weeks in advance.
Our 5km trot starts at Sainte Marie Among the Hurons, with the first portion of the route running directly through the historic Sainte Marie site! At the end of the site tour, the route pops onto the Trans Canada Trail that abuts Sainte Marie, where runners will head northwest along the trail which will take them along beautiful Georgian Bay. Runners will have a turnaround point along the Trans Canada Trail, where they will loop back to the finish line following the same route that they took along the Trans Canada Trail after the jaunt through the Sainte Marie site. The start and turnaround points have been marked on our maps.
